Question by questioner: With training could you be as good of Public Speaker as Barack Obama?
I was telling a friend how impressed I was with the public speaking skills of Obama. My friend said that anyone could be as good as him as long as they took alot of public speaking classes and practiced alot. He said any one could be good at something like this if you put alot of effort into it.
So if you spent a year in intensive training on public speaking, would you be as good as Obama?

Question by Michael T: Need to translate the following into colloquial Russian?
Would any native speaker out there be willing to help translate the following? It’s going to be used in a bit of a joke/comic routine that we are playing on someone. I can translate it word for word, but I really want it to be highly colloquial. Don’t worry about translating word for word–just about the jist of each sentence in the most natural way possible–and if possible, in a way that will be HUMOROUS to Russian speakers (language like the english “hell” is fine, but no real vulgarity please). Puns and word play would be great–feel free to add. Thanks!!
“”That’s it. I’ve had enough! I can’t take these darn 7-year-olds any more. They think that are so special, speaking their perfect Russian. “Well hello, little girl. Nice to meet you.” “Hahaha.” “You know what–shut up!” I try so hard, and they throw it in my face. I can’t stand it, seeing them laughing, and pointing up at me from knee-level. I don’t laugh at you. You juvenile perfectonists! I need a drink”"

Under the leadership of Commissioner Dan Beebe, the Big 12 athletic conference almost completely dissipated this past summer. Members of the conference were almost stolen by the Pac 10, Big 10, Big East, and even SEC – with a few remaining members possibly being left without a chair when the music stopped. When the dust settled, the conference survived, but sans Nebraska (a founding Big 6 school) and Colorado (who probably will not be missed by other schools in the conference). How did Dan Beebe let this happen?

Question by crosshairdesign: Do I really need TEFL certification to teach abroad?
I have seen numerous certifications and options for teaching abroad. Some sites even say you don’t have to be accredited, just a native English speaker with a Bachelor’s degree. Some advice and/or web links from an individual that has actually taught English abroad would be ideal. Thanks!

Question by interfan: I am looking for a book to read that will make me a better business professional and speaker, positive attitud?
There are people in my company that are Vice Presidents and CEO’s. They always speak well, give very positive answers, open their responses to a question with a positive statement, remain upbeat. How can I learn to do this as well? I would like to develop as a Business professional, is there a book or guide that lists these traits such as for example; always always always remain positive, etc? I would like to study this and mentor from it. Any recommendations on books etc?
