There are many company CEO’s nowadays that make use of a motivational speakerto talk to their employees in an effort to boost their morale. This in turn helps to increase the company’s productivity. There are also many other organizations and schools who also make use of a motivational speaker for other not so different reasons. The goal of any motivational speaker is to relay their own personal experiences to others and to tell them how they made it out of their predicament despite the odds being against them. These talks inspire individuals to look at their own circumstances in a different way and to except that there is always a way out of it if you are willing to fight.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said yesterday that unemployment compensation was a great form of economic and job stimulus. Her assertion was, essentially, that unemployment checks not only help the unemployed but, because of the spending they stimulate on the market, those checks create jobs. In fact, the speaker said, the government unemployment check is “better at creating jobs than any initiative you can name.”
Whatever your politics are, you’d have to say that statement is an indication of a fundamental transformation in the basic governing philosophy of the speaker’s political party. The general theme is one of being taken care of. I tend to hold more with this thought put forward by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in his first inaugural speech: “These dark days will be worth all they cost us if they teach us that our true destiny is not to be ministered unto, but to minister to ourselves, and to our fellow man.” John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address echoed a similar sentiment with the famous exhortation to ask not what our country can do for us, but what we can do for our country.
Effective communication is absolutely essential for business growth. When you speak your mind, you should pay special attention to your body language, diplomacy, style, pitch, vocabulary and tone modulations. You have to watch how you communicate with our customers and if you are not candid or give the impression you are not speaking your mind, then you may be deemed to be an ineffective communicator. Speaking your mind is required for managing business negotiations, handling existing and prospective customers. While speaking your mind, use tact and skill to impress your listeners. When you are frank and genuinely speak your mind, people will respond to you positively.
There are a few points you should bear in mind while speaking your mind to promote your business interests. If you speak in a high pitch, it may be misconstrued as you are nervous. Practice speaking in a subdued pitch. Your tone reveals your confidence level. People can easily judge by your tone if you are angry or diffident. Try to maintain a neutral tone without sounding too monotonous. You have to adapt your manner of speaking to suit to suit varying situations. Talking too rapidly is again a sign of nervousness. Talking too slowly can be tedious for the hearers. So keep speak at a normal pace.
Motivational speakers can help to mobilize team spirit, productivity, spirit of achievement and the zest for working in your employees which may not be possible with regular managerial interventions.
Top motivational speakers have the ability to convince and persuade your employees to increase the amount of effort and energy that they put into their work life, consequently improving their performance which in turn leads to higher profits and business growth. Top Motivational speakers are known to use a combination of persuasion, motivation and inspirational speaking to achieve the desired results.
I am Dennis Andrew and am going to give a summary on one of the topics that I cover in my motivational/keynote presentations. As a motivational speaker, I have several topics, but this article will briefly talk about “Setting Goals for Success.” In my bio, I have included a link to a short motivational speech that I did in Ohio. My presentations as a motivational speaker are often in large organizations, but I have a special passion for speaking to students. University/College students tend to really process the messages which lead to incredible transformations. This article summary will be largely covered in the included Ohio motivational presentation on “Setting Goals for Success.”
The way people go about setting goals is what determines a success or a failure. People who have goals “and follow through with them” succeed…everyone else fails. Notice that you will not even be tempted to give up on your pursuit unless the going gets tough. But the victory is to those who don’t give up…and only they who realize that the level of difficulty is irrelevant, will be those who pay no attention to the promptings that tell you to give up. This leads us to a question: What is a goal?

“A goal is a dream with a deadline!” That’s a very precise and accurate statement made by a motivational speaker during one of his discourses. Motivational speakers are often hired by companies for varied purposes. They either conduct a management development program or undertake a training session. Most often, motivational speakers are also hired for announcing important management decisions, service initiatives or even product launches. The whole idea is to convey the all important message through an able orator, who would be able to put across the inherent essence of the information conveyed.
Speakers who can catapult their discourses to newer heights with generous use of wit and humour are most preferred. After all, some good humour acts as a suitable digestive for heavy and solid words of wisdom. Moreover, humour makes the session interesting and entertaining as well. If you have a truly witty orator, he will know how to transform a training session or a normal meeting into an unforgettable evening. However, the use of light-hearted touches in a serious event should be ideally executed by an expert orator, who knows how to prepare a mix that is just right. An inept speaker could just go overboard and dilute the seriousness of the event, altogether.
In current times, corporations are faced with a myriad of challenges that they must be ready to meet in order to grow and change with the times. Strong and confident business owners meet challenges head on, and insist on finding viable solutions for them.
Keeping employees productive in trying economic times is not an easy task. Negative influences seem to come from everywhere, and it is imperative that a corporation finds a way to prevent the worries and concerns of its employees from affecting production.
